Blaže Koneski was a poet, translator, university teacher, writer, linguist and literary scholar (1921–1993). He was born in Prilep and died in Skopje.

He was employed by Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. He belonged to Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
