Bidding
How bidding works
All bidding is timed and online. There is no room, no telephone line and no privileged access: every registered bidder sees the same lot, the same current bid and the same closing time.

Closing extension
Applied
Triggered by any bid placed in the closing moments.
Increment scale
Published per sale
Read from the schedule in force, not written into this page.
Register once
An account with verified details is required before a first bid. A bid is a binding commitment to purchase, and we do not accept anonymous commitments.
Increments
Bids advance by the increment set for the current price level. You cannot bid a sum between two steps.
Maximum bids
You may leave a confidential maximum. The platform then bids for you, one increment at a time, only as far as competition requires — and never beyond your figure. Your maximum is not disclosed to anyone, including the consignor.
Reserves
Some lots carry a confidential reserve agreed with the consignor. Bidding below the reserve is permitted, but the lot will not sell until the reserve is met. Reserves are never disclosed and never displayed.
Closing, and the extension
Lots close at their published time, with a short extension whenever a bid arrives in the closing moments, so that a lot cannot be won on the clock alone.
Winning
The successful bidder is notified in writing and invoiced with the hammer price, the buyer's fee, tax where due and shipping. Payment is made to VALÉORINE, never to the consignor.
Withdrawal and errors
A bid cannot be retracted. Where a clear error of entry has occurred, contact us at once; VALÉORINE may act under the Conditions of Sale, but is not obliged to.
Increments, the closing extension and the fee scale shown here are read from the schedules in force on the platform. The Conditions of Sale published with each sale govern bidding in the event of any difference.
