Biography
Born at Seville in 1584, died in Cádiz in 1640.
Bartolomé Esteban Murillo is recorded as having studied under Juan del Castillo. Work by Juan del Castillo is recorded in the collections of Hermitage Museum, Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla and J. Paul Getty Museum.
