Jacques Camatte

Jacques Maurice Camatte (18 February 1935 – 19 April 2025) was a French writer and theorist. He began his intellectual career as a leading figure in the ultra-left Bordigist movement, a doctrinaire current of Marxism. After breaking with Bordigism following the events of May 1968, he developed a radical critique of Marxism itself, capitalism, and industrial civilisation.
