Volker Giencke

Volker Giencke (born 27 June 1947) in Wolfsberg is an Austrian architect. Giencke studied architecture and philosophy in Graz and Vienna. Collaborated with Merete Mattern, the landscape-architect Raimund Herms and Günther Domenig.

Volker Giencke

The greenhouses of the botanical garden of the University of Graz were built according to plans of architect Volker Giencke and opened in 1995. They consist of three interpenetrating parabolic cylinders made of acrylic glass.
