Sergio Franzoi

Sergio Franzoi (10 July 1929 – 16 February 2022) was an Italian painter and teacher, one of the last representatives of the post-expressionist venetian current in Italy. Like other artists, he trained in the collective exhibitions of the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation. From the early realistic paintings of the fifties, he developed an increasingly personal reinterpretation of expressionism.
