Petar Kočić

Petar Kočić (1877–1916) was an Ottoman poet, journalist and novelist.

Petar Kočić (Uncles near Banja Luka, June 29, 1877 - Belgrade, August 27, 1916) was a Serbian writer and politician. He is considered one of the first modern writers in Serbian literature, but also a person who, with his life and political activity, became a role model for various political currents in the later history of the Serbian people.

Born at Stričići in 1877, died in Belgrade in 1916.
