Ksenia Pokrovsky

Ksenia Mikhailovna (Belyakova) Pokrovsky (March 9, 1942 – July 7, 2013) was a prominent Russian Orthodox icon painter instrumental in the revival of traditional icon painting. Pokrovsky began her vocation in 1969 and worked in the Moscow region until the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 1991 she immigrated to the United States where she worked until her death in 2013.
