Hawkshaw Hawkins

Hawkins (December 22, 1921 – March 5, 1963) was an American country music singer popular from the 1950s into the early 1960s. He was known for his rich, smooth vocals and music drawn from blues, boogie and honky tonk. At 6 ft tall, Hawkins had an imposing stage presence, and he dressed more conservatively than some other male country singers.

Hawkshaw Hawkins

Harold "Hawklshaw" Hawkins was a Country Music performer and star of the Grand Ole Opry. He died in a plan crash in 1963 near Camden, Tennessee. The crash also claimed the life of Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas and Pilot Ramsey Hughes. Hawkshaw Hawkins is resting on Music Row near Hughes and Copas in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
