Fei Xiaotong

Fei Xiaotong was a Chinese and Taiwanese anthropologist, sociologist, university teacher, politician and writer (1910–2005). He was born at Wujiang District and died at Beijing.

Fei Xiaotong studied at Tsinghua University, London School of Economics and Political Science, Yenching University and Minzu University of China. He trained under Bronisław Malinowski and Wu Wenzao.

Career and activity

He was employed by Peking University, Tsinghua University and Minzu University of China. Recorded positions include National People's Congress deputy, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and standing member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He belonged to China Vocational Education Association, China Law Society, China Overseas Friendship Association and China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
