Overview
Catalogue entries for instruments state maker, signature, completeness and working condition. VALÉORINE records this subject so that lots referring to it can be described consistently.
Technique used to improve performance of optical systems by compensating for distortions

"First Light" image obtained with the SINFONI AO Module and a high-angular-resolution near-infrared Test Camera during the night of May 31 - June 1, 2004. The magnitude of the observed star is 11 and the seeing conditions median. The diffraction limit at wavelength 2.2 µm of the 8.2-m telescope (FWHM 0.06 arcsec) was reached and is indicated by the bar.
