2-inch RP

It is generally similar to contemporary rockets like the SNEB and FFAR, although somewhat smaller. It is sometimes known as the RP-2 or RN, but most often referred to simply as the 2-inch.

2-inch RP

A Royal Navy de Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.1 from 892 Naval Air Squadron, assigned to the aircraft carrier HMS Hermes (R12), sits on deck of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CVA-59) in the Mediterranean Sea, circa 1962. The U.S. Navy carriers Forrestal and USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) were conducting joint operations with Hermes and HMS Centaur (R06).
