William Hague

William Hague Jr. (1836–1899) was a well-known Irish Roman Catholic ecclesiastical architect active throughout mid- to late-nineteenth-century Ireland, particularly in Ulster. He is known as a protégé of A.W.N. His office was located at 50 Dawson Street, Dublin.

William Hague

East-most stained glass window in the south wall of the south aisle, depicting the education of the Virgin Mary. The bottom lines read: “Pray for the donors William and Anne Frances Hague”. Note that these are William Hague (1840–1899), the architect of St. Macartan's Cathedral who succeeded James Joseph McCarthy after his death, and his wife. See also Kevin V.
