Super Doubles Tennis mette in scena una serie di incontri doppio di tennis. I due tennisti controllati dagli utenti occupano la parte inferiore del campo, mentre i due controllati dal computer quella superiore. Se un utente decide di giocare da solo, la CPU assume il ruolo di compagno. A differenza di Pro Tennis, qui sono introdotti sia i set che i vantaggi. Come nel tennis vero e proprio, bisogna quindi ottenere più di 40 punti per conquistarsi un game, poi vincere sei games per aggiudicarsi un set. Se alla fine vengono vinti tre set su cinque si viene dichiarati vincitore del match. Durante l'incontro, il giocatore nel caso riuscisse a fare Forty Love (40-0) riceve il bonus di 3000 punti. Come in Pro Tennis, anche in questo titolo ci sono le vite a disposizione del giocatore: la partita finisce quando esse sono esaurite.
Accoglienza
In Giappone, la rivista Game Machine ha indicato Super Doubles Tennis nel numero del 1º novembre 1983 come la quarta nuova unità arcade di maggior successo del mese.
