Rogue

Rogue is a dungeon crawling video game by Michael Toy and Glenn Wichman with later contributions by Ken Arnold. Originally developed around 1980 for Unix-based minicomputer systems as a freely distributed executable. Commercial ports of the game for a range of personal computers were made by Toy, Wichman, and Jon Lane under the company A.I. Design and financially supported by the Epyx software publishers.

Rogue

4.3 BSD from the University of Wisconsin, running in the SIMH VAX-11/780 simulator with 16MB memory. The system describes itself as "4.3 BSD UNIX" and "4.3+NFS", and it dates to around January 1987. This is the beginning of the man page for Rogue ("rogue").
