Nicolas Formé
Nicolas Formé (Paris 26 April 1567 27 May 1638) was a French composer. In 1587, aged 20, Formé joined the choir of the Sainte-Chapelle, but was excluded from the fraternity for drunkenness and womanising. He was reinstated in 1592, to the Chapelle royale, and then finally, with the support of King Louis XIII, in 1626 he returned to the Sainte-Chapelle as a canon, where he worked under the protection of the King until his death.

- 2.On peut signaler qu'en 1615, le doyen du chapitre canonial de cette collégiale, Nicolas de Heere, avait fondé la première Société littéraire d’Orléans, avec l'archidiacre de Sully Claude Petau et Raoul Fournier, docteur-régent de l'université d'Orléans. Les travaux de cette petite Académie furent publiés en 1618 sous le titre de Conférences académiques (Paris, Langlois, VIII-492 p.). Elle disparut en 1624, à la mort de son fondateur. À cette époque, la collégiale Saint-Aignan avait sans doute atteint un bon niveau intellectuel, aussi bien que musical (grâce à son maître autrefois primé, Abraham Fourdy)
