The municipality of Montecassiano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sant'Egidio, Sambucheto, Vallecascia, and Vissani. Montecassiano borders the following municipalities: Appignano, Macerata, Montefano, Recanati.
