Marmon-Herrington

The Marmon-Herrington Company, Inc., is an American manufacturer of axles and transfer cases for trucks and other vehicles. Earlier, the company built military vehicles and some tanks during World War II, and until the late 1950s or early 1960s was a manufacturer of trucks and trolley buses. Marmon-Herrington had a partnership with Ford Motor Company, producing trucks and other commercial vehicles, such as buses.

Marmon-Herrington

Trolleybus 515 in Dayton, Ohio is a 1949 Marmon-Herrington TC48. It was purchased originally by the City Railway Company, but CR was taken over by the City Transit Company in 1955, and City Transit by the Miami Valley Regional Transit Authority (now GDRTA) in 1972. Number 515 was retired in 1982, but was later restored as a historic vehicle, including repainting into City Transit livery in 1984,
