Jim Butterworth

He is the inventor of 53 U.S. and foreign patents in the field of streaming media that are generally considered among the most cited and relevant intellectual property with respect to streaming. In 2007, he was awarded the Dartmouth College Martin Luther King Jr. Social Justice Award. In 2008, he was inducted into the Georgia Tech College of Engineering Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni. He formerly served on the Georgia Tech Advisory Board and is a Member Emeritus of the Georgia Tech ISyE Advisory Board.

Butterworth graduated from Leon High School, the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College with a Masters of Business Administration. Butterworth is an Eagle Scout.
