It was founded by Bob Cummins, a corporate lawyer who helped jazz musicians with legal matters. Its catalogue included Arthur Blythe, Pharoah Sanders, Hamiet Bluiett, Chico Freeman, Cecil McBee, and the Revolutionary Ensemble.
