İbrahim Şinasi

İbrahim Şinasi was an Ottoman poet, journalist, translator, writer, playwright and politician (1826–1871). He was born in Istanbul.

ʾİbrâhîm Şinâsî, famous Turkish writer (poet, playwriter, journalist), and classical liberal, bourgeois internationalist, patriot politician best known for his affiliation with the movement Yeŋî ʿOs̱mânlıler (New Ottomans/Young Ottomans).
