Hermann Škorpil (1858–1923) was a Bulgarian anthropologist, archaeologist and historian.

Born at Vysoké Mýto in 1858, died in Varna in 1923.
Hermann Škorpil studied at Charles University, Leipzig University and Czech Technical University in Prague. The recorded working language is Czech and Bulgarian.

Надписът е разчетен и регистриран през 1894 година от Херман Шкорпил. Той гласи: “Издигната за добър спомен на бога статуя, колкото може прелестна, когато бяха консули Сабин за втори път и Венуст”.
