Herman Chittison

Hermann Chittison, October 1946. Photography by William P. Gottlieb "Mildred Bailey, among others, considers Chittison the finest accompanist extant. Right now, he's not working with any vocalists. Mostly, he's playing with his trio on the "Endorsed By Dorsey" show over Mutual. (That's the program directed by Si[y] Oliver.")
