Biography
Born at Petropavlovka in 1924, died in Moscow in 1982.
Afanasy Shilin studied at Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces and Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia.
Distinctions recorded are Order of the Red Banner, Order of Lenin, Hero of the Soviet Union and Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class.
