Alexander Julien

Vision Eternel (originally spelled and stylized as Vision Éternel) was a Canadian-American ambient rock band. Formed by guitarist Alexander Julien in Edison, New Jersey, United States in January 2007, the band eventually relocated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in July 2007. The musical group's mainly instrumental sound has been described variously by critics as a blend of ambient, shoegaze, post-rock, ethereal, drone, space rock, emo, post-black metal, post-metal, dark ambient, dark wave, experimental rock, minimal, dream pop, progressive rock, modern classical, and new-age.

Alexander Julien (born 1988) is a bass guitarist, biographer and composer, among other activities, of Canadian and American nationality. The bass guitarist was born Alexandre Julien in Côte-des-Neiges. Alexander Julien is also known as DJ Hack and Smit.

Alexander Julien was educated at Collège Français, École Émile-Nelligan and HEC Montréal, among others. The bass guitarist worked for Abridged Pause Publishing, Abridged Pause Recordings and Mortification Records, among others and is a member of Soufferance, Triskalyon and Vision Eternel, among others. Alexander Julien worked in Edison and Montreal and lived in Briarwood East, Côte-des-Neiges and Pierrefonds. Activity centred on music.
