# VALÉORINE > VALÉORINE is a curated online auction platform and knowledge infrastructure. VALÉORINE conducts its own specialist auctions, while admitted independent auction houses may conduct their own sales under their own identity. Private owners submit objects for review; they do not self-list. The Encyclopedia publishes source-backed reference records. Every sale identifies the house conducting it. > > Sales are timed and online, conducted in British English and in London time > (GMT/BST). ## What VALÉORINE is, and is not - It is not an open self-listing marketplace, classified-ads service or peer-to-peer listing platform. Private owners cannot publish lots themselves. - Sales are presented on its own platform and, where appropriate, through a selected network of international platforms. No exclusivity is claimed and no partner is named here. - Property reaches the platform through VALÉORINE-conducted sales, accepted private submissions, or sales conducted by an admitted professional auction house. The conducting house is always named on the sale. - Objects remain with their owner. There is no routine shipment to London and no warehousing; custody moves only where it has been arranged in writing beforehand. - VALÉORINE does not insure objects, shipping or carriage. Shipping is described factually, by service and tracking, and a declared value is a declaration, not cover. ## The three pillars 1.
